Our National Anthem - The NFL - Our Police
The recent stance by many privileged players in the NFL, to kneel and not stand and show respect for our flag during the playing of the National Anthem, is disturbing, to put it mildly. Our police, allegedly, are the target of this so-called protest.
The irony of this protest is palpable. Judging the entire national police force by the actions of a few? That is an extreme form of prejudice. And isn't that was this is supposed to be about?
The vast majority of our police are good, brave, honest, hardworking men who know they may be in danger of losing their lives each and every time they report to work. They do not deserve to be the target of such hateful prejudice, and none of us should support this ridiculous practice of not only disrespecting our flag and our National Anthem, but our police.
